job summary: Position Overview Our client, a prominent Atlanta-based professional services firm, is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist. This individual will be responsible for handling all aspects of the firm's client billing cycle, ensuring that all billing and e-billing requirements are completed efficiently and accurately. This role provides critical support to the Billing and Collections Manager by addressing attorney and staff needs and providing superior client service. The Specialist will also manage day-to-day AR Collections requests, assist with deposit creation, and handle cash receipts posting. location: Atlanta, Georgia job type: Permanent salary: $75,000 - 90,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 3 Years responsibilities: Validate critical financial information for new client and e-billing engagements, ensuring data is recorded accurately in the Aderant system. Generate monthly client pre-bills and work with attorneys and secretaries to process edits (rates, time transfers, narrative edits) and create final bills. For e-billing clients: submit final bills to third-party vendors, track for acceptance, and resolve all rejections on a routine basis. Routinely ensure all client billing information (rates, task codes, etc.) is accurate and up-to-date in Aderant. Proactively monitor and collect on assigned Accounts Receivable to meet monthly and annual revenue targets. Prepare and distribute reminder statements, collections letters, and various AR reports from Aderant. Serve as a primary point of contact for client billing questions, researching and resolving inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Assist with the creation of daily deposits and the posting of cash receipts as needed. Process authorized AR write-offs. qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in client billing and e-billing, specifically within a law firm or other professional services industry. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. (An equivalent combination of an Associate's degree and relevant work experience will be considered). Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Aderant, eBilling Hub, or a similar time and billing software is required. Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Core Competencies: Possesses an outstanding client service approach for both internal and external clients. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
