As an Associate Adjuster in Workers’ Compensation, you are responsible for the investigation, negotiation and resolution of claims in accordance with policy provisions, best practices and jurisdictional requirements. This includes the input of claim data and guiding insureds and claimants through the claim process and options. Responsibilities:• Must have or secure and maintain appropriate states adjuster license (s) and continuing education credits. • Works within defined limits and authority on assignments of minimal complexity. • Uses discretion and independent judgment in claim handling. • Possesses basic functional knowledge and skills reflective of study and/or on job development. • Analyzes, evaluates and manages claims of lower complexity. • Identifies possibly suspicious claims and claims requiring further investigation. • Scope of handling may be limited to Commercial Lines claims. • Phone contact with customers and other parties to the loss is required to confirm coverage, compensability, and severity of injury. • Implement and coordinate the most effective medical management techniques to mitigate loss and expense payments. • Reserve authority levels are low and supervisory guidance is provided as appropriate. • Ongoing training may be necessary. • May be part of a formal training program. • Take recorded statements.Skills: Workers CompensationClaimsDesk ManagementOrganizationCustomer ServiceTeam Building Qualifications: Years of experience: 1 yearExperience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
