This includes creating and implementing strategies to find the best suppliers, reduce costs, and ensure a stable supply of critical goods and services. Negotiate and Manage Contracts: You'll be responsible for leading negotiations with suppliers, managing RFx (Request for X) events, and handling all contracts. This involves ensuring favorable terms for things like warranties, service levels, and product availability. Manage Supplier Relationships and Performance: This role involves actively managing supplier relationships. You will implement and oversee supplier performance programs, including scorecards and business reviews, to ensure suppliers meet the company's service expectations. Partner with Internal Teams: A key part of the job is working closely with various internal departments, such as operations, warehouse, and maintenance teams. The goal is to define their needs, drive standardization across locations, and support initiatives related to inventory optimization. Analyze Data and Drive Improvements: You will track and analyze category performance, including spending and key performance indicators (KPIs). This involves using data analysis to develop cost models, mitigate risks, and champion continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
