Position Purpose The Production Control Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining and advancing product and process quality standards across the organization. This position coordinates the flow of work and raw materials in strict accordance with the master production schedule to meet demanding customer requirements while maximizing plant-wide operating efficiency.Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling: Prepare, maintain, and publish production packaging schedules that satisfy customer demand while minimizing line changeovers and managing plant workload. Create and format computer-modeled packaging schedules fully integrated with master production schedules. ERP Data Coordination: Schedule and manage Work Orders within the ERP system to ensure accurate, real-time demand signals are dispatched to production, purchasing, and warehouse teams. Efficiency Optimization: Group similar items into product families to implement unified batch-manufacturing processes, minimizing downtime and driving floor efficiency. Define and establish Bill of Materials (BOM) sequencing rules to enforce uniformity across manufactured lines. Metrics & Analysis: Compile and analyze daily KPIs, including production rates, progress-to-plan metrics, material availability, and customer scorecards. Perform root-cause analysis on scheduling failures and process bottlenecks to implement corrective improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Management, Customer Service, Sales, and Production Leads to dynamically adjust schedules in response to material shortages or labor constraints. Coordinate freight shipments and resolve logistics complaints to mitigate late deliveries. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. Experience: 3–5 years of progressive production planning or inventory control experience in a manufacturing facility is highly desired. Technical Systems: Practical knowledge of ERP/MRP software and experience with dashboard reporting. Data Literacy: strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data modeling.
