Assists mechanics and supervisors with emergency orders through Manufacturers’ Tech support, customer service, parts departments, drawings and instruction manuals on the internet. Sources parts, manufacturers, and distributors through available resources. Assists with receiving and part storage. Assists with receiving/inspection of maintenance parts to be distributed or stored. This includes recording shortages, labeling and ID parts, and handling any discrepancies as needed. Acts as liaison between the vendors involved in our organization’s bin stocking programs. Prepares bill of ladings and coordinates with receiving department the maintenance incoming and outgoing (motors for repair from outside contacts & Return Goods Authorization exchanges). Completes all necessary paperwork needed to fulfill purchases or repairs. Generates a weekly status update for pending quotes and purchase orders. Meets with suppliers as needed to investigate sources and pricing as required. Assists in inventory cycle counts.
