job summary: A Senior Panel Technician is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. This position supports spaceflight systems by assembling, inspecting, and testing complex avionic panels and racks, requiring strong electromechanical skills, adherence to aerospace standards, and collaboration in dynamic environments. location: Kennedy Space Center, Florida job type: Contract salary: $30.00 - 36.66 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: High School responsibilities: Install avionic components and systems to meet design and reliability standards.Interpret work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to plan materials and assembly steps.Mount components like PLCs, HMIs, relays, contactors, switches, and terminal blocks in enclosures.Assemble cables, bus systems, and electromechanical components.Measure, cut, crimp, and solder wires for harness fabrication.Conduct complex installations, including custom cable harness configurations.Inspect and test avionics assemblies per specs, drawings, and instructions.Troubleshoot and perform rework, repairs, or maintenance on panels and systems.Perform inspections, cleaning, measurements, and testing on GSE systems. Skills: Experience with panel/wiring/mechanical installations and interpreting technical drawings/schematics.Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).Experience in avionics/panel manufacturing and testing in harsh environments.Familiarity with standards like IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, ANSI/ESD S20.20.Proficient in measurement tools and basic math.strong communication skills and attention to detail. Desired Skills: Technical training or industry certifications (IPC J-STD-001, IPC-620, NASA 8739.4).Proven hands-on technical leadership.strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Collaborative and professional team contributor.
