We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our front office as a Patient Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be the first point of contact, requiring a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor while greeting and assisting all patients and visitors. Key responsibilities include managing high-volume phone calls, executing seamless check-in/check-out procedures, and ensuring the integrity of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The ideal candidate will expertly handle all financial transactions, including verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining necessary authorizations, explaining financial responsibilities, and accurately collecting and reconciling daily payments. You will also manage appointment scheduling, maintain essential clinic reports and communication boards, and occasionally travel to other clinic locations for coverage. Manage all incoming calls by answering promptly, screening, and responding appropriately to requests, providing directions, and handling inquiries. Perform end-to-end check-in and check-out duties, accurately processing patient payments and confirming all demographic and clinical data is correctly entered and verified within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Facilitate new patient registration, including the complete and accurate collection of required patient information. Schedule patient appointments in accordance with clinic protocols and physician availability. Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and authorization for all patients, securing necessary prior authorizations for managed care plans when applicable. Clearly explain patient financial requirements and regulatory responsibilities to the patient or responsible party prior to service.
