Oversee the daily operations of the AR department, including payment processing, collections, cash application, lockbox payments, electronic payments, and account reconciliation. Review the staff's performance, determine training needs, and schedule training sessions. Develop, implement, and continuously improve AR policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Analyze AR aging reports and key metrics, identifying trends and developing strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Establish KPIs and reporting to monitor performance, aging trends, credit risk, collection effectiveness, and write-offs. Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights and present findings to senior leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. 7-10 years in AR management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a large, high-volume, multi-state environment is preferred. Knowledge of end-to-end AR processes, proficiency with major accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AS400), and advanced Excel/data analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change, influence stakeholders at all levels, and manage a complex, fast-paced environment. Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%.
