We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide vital clinical and administrative support to our providers. A primary focus of this position involves managing patient health information flow, including processing lab orders, tracking results, and handling incoming/outgoing medical records via secure faxing and EHR systems to ensure seamless continuity of care. This candidate Must have worked in internal medicine, urgent care, family practice or emergency room and must have a minimal of 2 to 3 years of experience. This position is located in Sandy Springs, GA. salary: $50,000 - $52,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Manage high-volume incoming and outgoing faxes containing sensitive medical records, specialist consults, and hospital discharge summaries in compliance with HIPAA regulations Records Coordination: Request external medical records via fax or electronic health exchange from hospitals, specialists, and insurance companies to ensure provider schedules are prepared Review received faxes, categorize documents correctly, and attach them to the appropriate patient charts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for provider review Patient Intake: Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, take and record vital signs, and document patient history and chief complaints. Assisting Physicians: Prepare patients for examinations, assist with in-office procedures, and provide support to the physician as needed. Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), administering injections, and collecting lab specimens. Accurately chart patient information, update medical records, and ensure all data is correctly entered into the EHR system.
