Our Client is looking for a property accountant to join their team. This full-time position involves supporting the company's financial operations, with a an emphasis on day-to-day accounting functions within real estate. This is an onsite role, and you must reside in the Charlotte metro to be considered. salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Accounts Payable: You'll be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments, using platforms like AvidPay. This includes reconciling vendor statements and ensuring invoices are properly coded. Property & General Accounting: You will handle monthly financials for assigned properties, including accruals and variance analysis. The role also involves performing Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, reconciling tenant charges, and assisting with preparing annual budgets. You will also manage general ledger tasks like recording journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. Reporting & Distributions: A key part of the role is preparing and distributing monthly reporting packages to management, owners, and investors. You will also calculate and process monthly and quarterly investor distributions and manage property-level distributions, including owner draws and waterfall calculations. Tax & Audit Support: You will work directly with outside CPA firms by providing supporting documentation for annual tax returns and coordinating tax schedules. This role also includes assisting with internal and external audits. Assisting the Controller: You will provide direct support to the Controller on various tasks, such as preparing consolidated reports, monitoring cash flow, and assisting with special projects and process improvements.
