Our client is leading wholesale supplier headquartered in Vineland, NJ . They have over 50 years experience, and service major retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart! They are seeking an A/R Specialist to join their growing team!
The A/R Specialist will take full ownership of the accounts receivable process-managing payment entries, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and overseeing collections through effective communication. responsibilities:
- Process and post incoming payments; ensure accurate documentation of receivables and financial records
- Generate and issue customer invoices in line with company procedures
- Maintain updated client records, including changes in billing addresses, contacts, and company status
- Manage collection efforts for past-due accounts via phone and written correspondence
- Create regular reports on account balances, payment status, and outstanding receivables
- Investigate payment issues and discrepancies; coordinate resolutions with customers
- Reconcile accounts receivable regularly and assist with monthly revenue account reconciliation
- Assist in producing monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
- Organize, copy, scan, and file relevant A/R documents
- Share client account updates with relevant departments
- Participate in departmental projects and support broader finance team efforts
- Respond to internal and external inquiries with a professional and customer-focused approach
- Perform other duties as required
qualifications:
- Must be available to work onsite in Vineland, NJ
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three years of professional experience (internships or equivalent work considered)
- Familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Navision, AS400), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
