Tatum has been engaged by a client in an effort to hire their Corporate Controller. This is a Private Equity backed $160MIil (+ / -) manufacturing company. In this role you will lead the day-to-day function of the accounting department, support their audit process, and support any special projects associated with the accounting function. This is a hands-on role that will have management duties and also individual projects and initiatives.

responsibilities:
- Oversight for all general accounting and financial reporting processes
- Support company's ERP conversion effort
- Financial analysis and performance reporting to executive leadership and Operations staff
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
- Preparing quarterly financial statements and ad hoc reporting for executive management
- Proper accounting treatment for acquisitions efforts of the organization
- Maintain oversight over the cash processing function
- Management and support of AP/AR functions and staff
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, financial statement audit and all tax reports and issues (federal, state and local taxes, including sales, use and gross receipts tax)
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
- Help with measuring and analysis of company performance and presentation of findings to executive team
qualifications:
- CPA strongly preferred
- Private Equity backed experience
- Experience working directly with executive team, Operations staff along with Accounting organization
- Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience
- Experience improving processes and overall environment
- Proficient with systems and report writing, experience working with antiquated systems and going through successful ERP conversion
- Epicor Kinetic ERP knowledge preferred
- "Hands-on" Systems & Implementation experience
- Comfortable working with a small accounting team (6 FTE's)
