Director of Finance and Operations
For the past 30 years, this organization has provided innovative programming and culturally relevant and appropriate services to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in the greater Washington, DC area. Today, they operate two office locations in the DMV and offer a variety of clinical, behavioral, and social support services in a trusting, compassionate and non-judgmental environment. The org is currently hiring a Director of Finance and Operations who is energetic, experienced, and committed and has the necessary skills to fill this position.

responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audit
function, tax compliance, investments, insurance, talent management, and information
technology systems of the organization. Importantly, this position ensures that there are
effective financial, accounting system and inventory controls and standards in place.
The Director is a member of the Executive and Senior Management Teams and plays a critical role in strategic decision making and operations. This position works closely with the Executive Director to support the fiduciary and organizational compliance responsibilities of the Board of Directors. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position will have the following areas of responsibility:
- Fiscal Management
- Human Resources
- Operations (Administration)
- Information Technology
qualifications:
? CPA or Master's in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting highly preferred.
? Five (5) years in a senior administrative management position in a nonprofit
organization, healthcare service or social enterprise, with progressive growth in
responsibility.
? Prior responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit
coordination for either a division or significant program area.
? Prior experience supervising, coaching and mentoring a team in a fast-paced
environment.
? Experience with relevant financial software such as Quickbooks and SAGE required;
experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
