In this leadership position, you will serve as the primary accounting partner to brand leadership while collaborating closely with the Corporate Controller, FP&A, Treasury, and Accounts Payable. Expected duration is 3-6 months. The role will primarily be remote with initial on-site presence and monthly visits to the Greater Salt Lake City area.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Accounting & Reporting: Serve as the primary accounting partner for assigned divisions; oversee financial reporting, ensure accurate period cut-offs, and present key financial insights to leadership.
- Month-End Close & GL: Lead month-end close processes, review balance sheet reconciliations, prepare journal entries/accruals, and resolve variances.
- Systems & Process Optimization: Leverage Sage Intacct to streamline reporting, reduce manual tasks, and shorten close cycles.
- Internal Controls: Maintain robust accounting controls, maintain documentation, and ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with AP and FP&A to support forecasting, optimize vendor/cash management, and align accounting data with broader corporate goals.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle month-end close.
- Experience managing general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations for multi-entity or multi-unit businesses.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate.
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and Velixo is ideal
- Private Equity experience preferred
- Industry experience in home services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, other services.
