This is an exciting project for a technical SEC Accounting Consultant reporting directly to the CAO. This client has a small team of staff and needs a technical consulting resource to work closely alongside the client's leadership and external consultants across with a focus on SEC reporting and general accounting.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Work autonomously to manage project deadlines and move assigned tasks forward.
- Research complex technical accounting issues and write technical accounting memos.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the auditor and deliver the PBC documents for the upcoming year-end audit.
- Provide hands-on execution for the SEC reporting and ownership across any general accounting needs.
qualifications:
Must-Have Qualifications & Candidate Profile
- Level of Experience: Seeking a SEC Accounting Consultant operating at the Manager level.
- Public Accounting Experience is a must: Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience.
- Must have active CPA in Texas
- Must have board presentation and experience working with company's top executive leadership.
- Must have the want and willingness to roll up your sleeves to handle execution-level detail-building schedules, gather audit tie-outs, and updating filings yourself. This person does not have a staff to delegate to.
- Must display strong enthusiasm to be on the project team and help build something meaningful.
- Accounting ERP: Strong technology ERP skills are required including exposure to AI tools.
- Tasks: Technical accounting research, memo writing, audit liaison, and general accounting task execution.
