Seeking a Scientist to join the Inflammation Research group with a leading biotechnology company located in South San Francisco, CA. This position plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune / inflammation diseases, identifying novel targets and in advancing company's autoimmune / inflammation disease programs.
This role entails design, planning, execution and interpretation of cellular assays, ex vivo assays, molecular profiling / screening, proteomics as well as single cell RNA sequencing studies through internal or external resources to support autoimmune / inflammation programs.
Schedule/Shift: 1st shift, 8 AM - 5 PM; flexibility based on experimental needs

responsibilities:
- Support autoimmune/inflammation disease drug discovery programs
- Support early drug discovery programs using cellular pharmacology and assay development expertise
- Independently design, develop and execute complex cellular assays, for mechanistic characterization of diverse target and pathways
- Generate and analyze experimental data; troubleshoot efficiently, prepare written reports and impactful presentations
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
- Present scientific data in internal and external meetings
qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with at least 2 years of postdoctoral or industry research experience OR
- Master' degree (MS) with 2-4 years of industry or academic lab experience.
- Proficiency in cell-based assays and pathway-dependent assays, ex vivo, in vitro, and molecular biology techniques
- Background in immunology, biochemical assays, or inflammation research
- Immunology or biochemical assay backgrounds are strongly preferred. Strong data presentation skills, scientific rigor, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced lab environment are essential.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including data presentation and documentation
- Strong background in autoimmune, Inflammation and/or rare diseases is highly desirable. The candidate will support multiple discovery/ development programs and participate in the evaluation of new targets and molecules.
