The primary purpose of the kilo lab operator is to independently execute (or assist in the execution of) kilo lab batches following a batch record and all applicable procedures and safety requirements. The individual will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. To start, the kilo lab operator will learn to be a technical expert in the equipment and procedures within the kilo lab and will assist with the upkeep of the kilo lab as well as routine duties within the group.

responsibilities:
- Performs kilo lab operations necessary for the execution of batches, independently or with assistance. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete own work.
- Develops skills in basic kilo lab tasks and procedures; may use/handle potentially dangerous chemicals/materials/waste and/or work with potentially hazardous industrial equipment.
- Works together with other operators, management, chemists, and others as part of a team.
- Communicates own work proactively; follows good documentation practices when executing batch records. Treats documentation/data with a high level of integrity and ethics.
- Complies with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner. Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies. Identifies any observed operational or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Will be required to independently lift materials/equipment up to 50 lbs (or higher with assistance).
- Due to the nature of the business environment, may occasionally be required to work extended hours with limited notice due to operational/batch needs.
qualifications:
- Associates degree in science or engineering, or equivalent work experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience working with established GMP procedures and bulk manufacturing
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods and procedures
