responsibilities:
- Formula Compliance: Conduct technical reviews of cosmetic formulations to ensure all ingredients and concentrations comply with US and Canadian local regulations.
- Artwork & Labeling Review: Audit packaging artwork and ingredient listings (INCI) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regional labeling requirements.
- Product Notifications: Manage and execute the notification process for new products in the US and Canada to ensure seamless market entry.
- Chemical Regulatory Oversight: Provide specialized oversight for Canadian chemical regulations, ensuring all raw materials and finished goods meet environmental and safety standards.
- Documentation & Registration: Prepare, organize, and submit essential registration dossiers and technical documents as required by regulatory bodies.
- Performance Tracking: Maintain and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to registration timelines and notification status to ensure project milestones are met.
qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Experience: 0-3 years of professional experience; our client is open to training high-potential entry-level candidates with a strong scientific foundation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly master new regulatory databases and software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to coordinate multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously, and a drive to master complex new subjects rapidly.
- Technical Background: A strong working knowledge of Chemistry is highly advantageous for reviewing complex ingredient decks.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior internship or professional experience within the Cosmetic or Personal Care industry.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Basic understanding of FDA (US) or Health Canada cosmetic regulations.
