This opportunity is a specialized, hands-on role within a high-volume analytical R&D laboratory in Central New Jersey, focusing on the critical technical stages of drug product development. You will be tasked with the development, validation, and optimization of analytical methods-specifically utilizing HPLC, GC, and GC/MS-to ensure the quality and purity of drug substances and dosage forms. This is an ideal environment for a chemist who thrives on technical problem-solving and instrument troubleshooting within a rigorous cGMP framework, contributing directly to the regulatory registration of upcoming pharmaceutical products.

responsibilities:
- Develop and validate analytical methods (mostly LC and GC) for active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients and dosage forms to be used in the analytical R&D laboratory for routine analysis.
- Ensure that procedures are technically developed and conform to appropriate standards of identity, strength, quality, purity of components.
- Development and optimization of new and existing analytical methods for qualification, release testing of products
- Perform and coordinate laboratory equipment qualifications, calibrations and preventative maintenance programs as needed
qualifications:
EDUCATIONS & QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelors Degree and 3-5 yrs or
- Masters Degree + 1-2 yrs (chemistry degree)
- Broad knowledge of modern Analytical and Organic chemistry
- Extensive experience in cGMP laboratory testing with hands-on experience with sophisticated instruments like UPLC, HPLC, GC, LC/MS, GC/MS.
