We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to ensure product safety and excellence through rigorous analytical testing and sensory evaluation. This is a 100% onsite position for a 3-month contract, requiring flexibility for second or third shift schedules, including some weekends.

responsibilities:
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analytical testing on work-in-process and finished goods using pH meters, HPLC, and Malvern Mastersizer.
- Conduct organoleptic/sensory testing (taste, smell, appearance) to ensure compliance with established flavor and texture profiles.
- Approve batches for packaging and shipment, or proactively place non-conforming materials on quality hold for investigation.
- Prepare and submit samples for microbiological testing and maintain meticulous records of all results.
- Utilize SAP to execute inventory movements and track real-time product status across compounding and storage areas.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation while preparing necessary reagents and solutions for daily protocols.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, specifically pH meters and analytical balances.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in a production environment following strict GMP guidelines.
- Availability to work second or third shifts, including weekend rotations.
- Strong mathematical skills for precise batch adjustments and data entry accuracy.
- Prior QC experience within a Food Science or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Direct experience operating HPLC or Malvern Mastersizer technology.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (FSMA, SQF, or HACCP).
