responsibilities:
- We are looking for an expression scientist with experience in recombinant protein expression from mammalian and insect cell systems.
- Experience with E. coli protein expression and protein purification would be a bonus.
- Competency in sterile cell culture technique is a must and prior industry experience is highly desired.
- A successful candidate would join the Protein Sciences team.
- This team operates within the larger Protein and Cellular Sciences group in early discovery and is responsible for recombinant protein reagent delivery to support small and large molecular discovery campaigns and associated structural studies.

Required:
- 1-2 years of pharma or biotech industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in biochemistry or equivalent
- Prior experience with insect and/or mammalian cell culture and associated sterile technique
- Looking for an organized scientist that can manage details well, is conscientious about completing tasks as described in a timely manner, communicates well with others, keeps detailed records, and does the appropriate background work to understand the assigned task at hand.
- Prior experience with E. coli expression and recombinant protein purification
- 2+ years prior pharma/biotech industry experience
- Thesis-based master's degree in biochemistry or equivalent
- Manager would consider candidates with academic-only experience with the appropriate lab-based skills.
