responsibilities:
- Independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot high-throughput genomic workflows, with a primary focus on microarray-based genotyping platforms.
- Operate and maintain automated liquid-handling systems to ensure consistent data quality, robustness, and operational throughput.
- Perform rigorous data quality control (QC), identifying root causes for any failures and implementing corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
- Document all experimental designs, execution details, and outcomes in strict accordance with laboratory and data governance standards.
- Translate complex genomic data into clear reports and presentations to guide decision-making for cross-functional stakeholders and project leadership.
- Collaborate with bioinformatics collaborators and therapeutic area stakeholders to drive reverse translation initiatives forward.
- Manage reagent inventories and contribute to the development, revision, and continuous improvement of laboratory SOPs and new technology validation.
qualifications:
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related field (with 2+ years of relevant experience) OR Master's degree in Genetics/Genomics (with relevant hands-on laboratory experience).
- Demonstrated ability to independently execute and troubleshoot genomic laboratory workflows.
- Proven experience generating, assessing, and analyzing quality metrics of genomic data sets.
- Strong working knowledge of genetics and genomics principles.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting high-throughput and automated laboratory workflows.
- High attention to detail with a strong data ownership mindset.
- Ability to contribute to the development, revision, and continuous improvement of laboratory procedures.
- Experience generating genotyping data using microarray platforms and performing associated data QC.
- Experience with NGS library preparation, sequencing, and primary data QC.
- Experience with nucleic acid QC, sample tracking, and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
- Prior experience in a high-throughput industry or centralized genomics core laboratory environment.
