Key Responsibilities
- Microbiological Analysis: Execute comprehensive testing on finished products, raw materials, and environmental samples, including pH measurements, streak plating, and microbial luminescence.
- Environmental Monitoring: Lead routine monitoring of air, surfaces, and equipment; analyze and trend data to proactively identify and mitigate microbiological risks.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Meticulously record, interpret, and summarize microbial data in alignment with the Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS) and internal standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and biosafety protocols to ensure 100% data accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Quality and Production teams to escalate food safety concerns and support compliance with FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Update SOPs, assist in method troubleshooting, and participate in special investigations to drive site-wide quality KPIs.
- Training & Coaching: Serve as a subject matter expert by providing guidance and training to technicians and operators on sampling hygiene and microbiological awareness.

Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a closely related life science field.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of microbiological principles, aseptic techniques, and biosafety practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable summaries.
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and statistical proficiency for analyzing microbiological trends.
- Availability: Must be able to work a 12-hour 2/2/3 rotating shift (including weekends) and maintain flexibility for operational needs.
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in a microbiology laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
- Systems: Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of FSSC 22000 or ISO quality systems.
