responsibilities:
- Executing routine and complex wet lab tasks to extract high-quality nucleic acids from cells, tissues, and biofluids.
- Performing nucleic acid quality control including fluorescence quantification, absorbance, and integrity analysis.
- Analyzing and interpreting QC data to inform downstream workflows and annotate sample quality.
- Documenting experimental setups, processing notes, and QC data within a LIMS and other reporting systems.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting wet lab instrumentation used for extraction and quality control.
- Supporting sample management duties including receipt, reconciliation, and biobank storage.
qualifications:
Required Skills:
- BS in Genetics, Genomics, or related field with 2+ years of experience OR MS in Genetics/Genomics with 1+ years of experience.
- Practical expertise in nucleic acid extraction workflows from diverse source materials (blood, tissue, etc.).
- Proficiency in nucleic acid QC techniques and data interpretation.
- Mastery of micropipetting techniques and accurate laboratory measurements.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs and documentation guidelines in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with low/high-throughput LIMS and data management.
- Experience operating or maintaining automated laboratory platforms.
- Background in CLIA-certified or regulated laboratory environments.
- Experience in clinical writing or editing technical manuals.
