A Top-Tier Global Pharma Leader is seeking an adaptable Research Associate to join a specialized Cell Surface Biology research team in South San Francisco, CA. This 1-year onsite contract offers flexible scheduling and focuses on advancing discovery efforts through high-throughput tissue culture and molecular profiling. This is an ideal role for a technically strong laboratory professional with broad assay exposure.

responsibilities:
- Culture and maintain complex in vitro models, including various cell lines and organoids, for discovery research.
- Prepare key tissues and biological samples for high-sensitivity transcriptomic and proteomic assays.
- Implement molecular and biological tools to support experimental studies and NGS-based workflows.
- Contribute to multi-omic profiling experiments, including imaging and flow cytometry-based assays.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members on experimental design, execution, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain rigorous bench standards and present research findings at internal team meetings.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong hands-on tissue culture experience in a Biotech or Pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven exposure to molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with 96-well assay formats or high-throughput systems.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in South San Francisco.
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Experience with RNA-based workflows or organoid culture.
- Familiarity with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) support activities.
