Located primarily at our state-of-the-art facility in Pecatonica, IL (with a secondary corporate office in Oak Brook, IL), this 4-to-6-month contract offers a high-autonomy environment where you can hit the ground running. You will directly manage bench formulations and product development, allowing senior team members to transition to specialized, high-profile projects.

responsibilities:
- Lead product development and commercial bench formulations from concept to pilot scale.
- Define formulation, nutritional, and process parameters to meet strict project objectives.
- Develop comprehensive raw material, process, and finished product specifications.
- Utilize PDM software and internal systems to ensure accurate data setup and technical documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Procurement, and Operations to manage supply sources and raw materials.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, or a closely related scientific field
- 3 or more years of hands-on product development and commercial bench formulation experience
- Proven experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) software
- Demonstrated knowledge of specification sourcing, raw materials, and quality ingredients
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Prior formulation experience with powder beverages
