This hybrid role offers a flexible schedule-requiring 1-2 days per week on-site in Menlo Park, CA (transitioning to Sunnyvale in the fall)-and pays up to $30.00-$32.00/hr, depending on experience.

responsibilities:
- Full Call Ownership: Manage 25-35 high-volume inbound and outbound calls daily with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve complex billing inquiries.
- On-site Document Management: Scan physical payment checks and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) received via mail.
- Account Analysis & Data Entry: Review account setups, navigate large Excel spreadsheets to cross-reference custom billing structures, and meticulously document all cases in Salesforce/CRM.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate high-stress, emotional situations with frustrated customers, maintaining extreme professionalism and composure.
qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of medical billing experience and/or call center customer service within the healthcare field.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency navigating large Excel spreadsheets and Google Suite; prior experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Core Competencies: Strong understanding of medical insurance/billing, exceptional attention to detail, and a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.
- Communication: Proven track record of ownership and conflict de-escalation; this is not a triage role.
- Compliance: Ability to adhere strictly to SOPs, PCI, CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations.
