responsibilities:
- Manufacture cell-based research and commercial products in a BSL-2 laboratory setting following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform aseptic techniques for media/solution preparation, cell line maintenance, scale-up production (shake flasks and bioreactors), and cell harvesting.
- Conduct routine cellular assays, record precise data, and maintain accurate Batch Data Records and laboratory notebooks.
- Monitor operational parameters, analyze technical data, and immediately report quality variances or processing issues to team management.
- Maintain equipment, manage product inventories, and assist in revising manufacturing batch records and SOPs.
- Participate actively in troubleshooting, process improvement projects, and initiatives aimed at reducing product scrap.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline (No Master's or Ph.D. degrees).
- Proven proficiency with basic scientific laboratory techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Familiarity with mammalian and insect cell lines.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs frequently, stand for extended periods, and work safely with chemicals/hazardous materials.
- Strong flexibility to adapt to varying manufacturing schedules and hours as required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience in a manufacturing or research environment (cell culture experience is a major plus).
- Strong documentation skills and intermediate proficiency with MS Excel.
