This is a high-impact opportunity for a doctoral-level scientist to pivot from the laboratory bench to a strategic Business Development Role within a fast-growing and globally recognized pre-clinical CRO. The position leverages deep expertise in mouse modeling to forge technical partnerships that accelerate drug discovery and preclinical development.
This role is designed for a PhD currently living near Pittsburgh with a desire to use their scientific base in mouse modeling to thrive in pre-clinical services Business Development. The reward is a strong base salary + uncapped commission potential.

responsibilities:
- Network with top scientists from biotech and biopharma companies
- Attend trade shows and conferences
- Achieve corporate sales goals in the assigned territory
- Actively reach out to prospective customers and manage negotiations
- Clearly communicate gene targeting principles and preclinical services to potential customers
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, from initial cold outreach and "networking lunches" to complex contract negotiations and final execution.

Required:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biology, or a closely related bioscience field.
- Significant, hands-on "wet lab" experience specifically involving mouse models and practical scientific research.
- A documented publication list demonstrating scientific rigor and contribution to the field.
