responsibilities:
- Sort, centrifuge, aliquot, and prepare clinical specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform fast-paced, accurate alphanumeric data entry to log specimen details.
- Safely transport processed specimens to designated laboratory departments.
- Strictly adhere to biohazard safety protocols, compliance regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation to meet daily production and turnaround goals.
qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and strong typing skills (ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour).
- Flexibility to work the night shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a biohazard laboratory environment.
- Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, or laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with clinical medical terminology or specimen processing.
