responsibilities:
- Execute CHO fed-batch bioreactor processes using single-use systems across 3L, 50L, and 200L scales.
- Lead daily lab management activities, including inventory tracking, layout optimization, stocking supplies, and hazardous waste oversight.
- Prepare critical materials for cell culture experiments, including tubing manifold assembly, media hydration/filtration, and buffer preparation.
- Collaborate closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to enforce health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive records for equipment maintenance, vendor communications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate cross-functionally with internal sub-teams, site operations, and external vendors to streamline workflows.
qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree with 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs (~3-4 feet off the ground) and work on-site in a laboratory environment requiring PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently following initial training.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture (aseptic techniques, biosafety cabinets, shake flasks).
- Practical knowledge of bioreactor set up, probe calibration, autoclaving, or DeltaV control systems.
- Background in lab management, inventory coordination, or vendor management.
