Our client is looking to add a HSE Plant Technician to their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in West Branch IA. This person will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety, conducting inspections and audits, supporting regulatory compliance, and assisting in the implementation of HSE programs aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.

Qualifications:
- Technical degree, HSE degree or other university qualifications
- OSHA, or other relevant certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to HSE
- Experience with programmatic (Compliance and Performance) audits/inspections including record keeping, and action-item resolution
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in HSE, manufacturing is desirable.
- Able to complete OSHA 30.

responsibilities:
- Support the HSE Plant Manager/Plant Manager on the developing, implementing, and maintaining core Industrial Safety and Hygiene policies, procedures, and systems based on ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Support with regulatory analysis, advice, and expertise for emerging, proposed, and existing regulations at Federal, State, and Local levels
- Provides support for preparing regulatory reports, or other compliance submittals.
- Analyze unsafe situations identified within the plant and support/coach with corrective actions.
- Participates in maintaining the Plant Safety Plan with updates and compliance.
- Provide HSE Training to members of the plant to comply with requirements.
- Monitor the HSE Alerts, Notices and Best Practices implementation
- Monitor the proposals for HSE improvement actions
