A SCPFO Procurement Consultant is needed for a world class utility company in the Columbus, OH area. This role leads sourcing strategy and execution for complex, high-value procurement needs by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and aligning procurement efforts with strategic category management goals.

responsibilities:
- Procure high-value and/or complex goods and services based on business needs.
- Align procurement plans with business requirements.
- Execute sourcing strategies and assist Category Managers with category strategy development.
- Use market, supplier, and spend analyses to shape strategy and inform RFXs (Request for Proposal/Quotation/etc.).
- Lead cross-functional teams during sourcing events and contract negotiations.
- Draft moderately complex contracts, addressing pricing, performance, risk, and terms.
- Maintain relationships with business partners and suppliers to support strategy execution.
- Collaborate with Service Centers to ensure transactional alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Coordinate delivery, transportation, and storage of high-value equipment and materials.
- Oversee contract compliance and manage economic adjustments, replacements, and credits.

- Ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to engage suppliers on operational, strategic, and financial matters.

- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in utilities, construction, or manufacturing, experience leading cross-functional teams.
