Reputable and growing organization is looking to hire (direct hire) an Incineration Engineer in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
This opportunity comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $140k to $170k plus an annual bonus that can range from 10%-20%. Relocation assistance is available.

responsibilities:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Maintains knowledge of Process Safety Management and supports the program as needed
- Leads and/or participates in investigations (Root Cause Failure Analysis) as required
- Utilizes experience and understanding to lead and support the safe operation of waste combustion processes that includes primary and secondary combustion, flue gas and particulate clean up and capture, including electrostatic precipitators, bag houses, and quench and scrubbing technologies
- Utilizes knowledge of waste feed chemistry and process impacts to develop waste feed plans to optimize throughput
- Incorporates knowledge of laboratory testing for inputs and in-process and outputs of the incineration process to assess how waste combustion feeds impact operations
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of air regulations as they relate to the operation of
- combustion processes
- -Conducts heat / mass balance and thermal calculations
- Determines and implements process changes and / or trials to improve efficiency and performance
- Provides operations with analytical support and problem-solving related to operating processes
- Contributes to the development of processes and procedures; ensures that incineration operations are performed in compliance with the standard operating procedures, permits and all EHS requirements
- Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers, vendors, engineers, subcontractors and manufacturers
- Represents the organization and acts as a liaison with relevant combustion industry individuals and groups
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Customer Experience, Compliance and Safety
- Maintains ability to travel as required, up to 45% of the time
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
- -Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related technical field (required)
- 20+ years of experience in waste incineration engineering or specialist role (required)
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulationspertaining to the environmental services industry
- Working knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs and Loop Sheets
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal andexternal stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, drive change and influence others
- Results-orientation with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from a variety ofsources
- Ability to see the big picture, while translating details into an organizational perspective
- Ability to develop and track KPIs for risk aversion, proactive maintenance and reliabilityinitiatives
- Analytical thinking, with the ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to workwith large sets of data and concisely make sense of them
- Technical aptitude and a strong understanding of the systems, equipment, and processes athand, including knowledge of the engineering principles and specific systems used across theorganization
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovativesolutions to complex problems
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to collaborateeffectively with others
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively, includingplanning, scheduling, and organizing
- Attention to detail and precision when analyzing data, implementing improvements anddocumenting results
- Proficiency in tools such as MPulse, PowerBI, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite applications, dataanalysis software (e.g. Minitab, Excel), ERP systems, and knowledge of statistical process control(SPC
