An Electrical Design Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. An Electrical Design Technician with 3 to 5 years of experience is responsible for producing accurate electrical schematics for substation and power delivery projects using AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE), collaborating with engineers, applying drafting standards, and preferably holding an associate degree or technical certification, with SDS knowledge considered a plus.

responsibilities:
- Produce electrical design drawings and schematics.
- Use ACADE for layout, wire tagging, circuiting, and annotation.
- Collaborate with engineers on high-voltage substation designs.
- Ensure drawing accuracy and consistency using version control.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and apply drafting standards.
- Participate in document reviews and quality control checks.
- Proven ACADE expertise required.
- Utility or substation project experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of SDS is a plus.
- strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design preferred.
- 3-5 years of electrical drafting/design experience.
