Growing manufacturer in Saint Louis is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing. Bachelor's degree highly desired but may consider additional years of experience instead. Industrial Controls, PLC/HMI programming and AutoCAD Electrical design experience required. This is an excellent, hands-on opportunity allowing the engineer to work with projects from conception to completion and interact with customers throughout the project lifecycle! Some travel required, around 10%. Excellent benefits and will consider relocation for the right candidate!

responsibilities:
- Developing PLC and HMI programs for automated machinery
- Design of industrial control panels
- Management of automated machine projects
- Assist with startup and commissioning of machinery
- B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Competent in specifying end of arm tooling
- Proficiency with Cognex vision inspection
- Capable of servo axis programming and tuning for linear motion systems.
- Allen Bradley PLC/HMI Programming Experience
- 3-D CAD Experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- AUTOCAD Electrical experience
- Proficient in Industrial Controls Including: Sizing motor starter circuits and specifying branch circuit protection, Control panel layout, designing machine safety circuits annd NPFA, UL standards
