A Technical Writer is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, in the Houston, TX area. This role manages supply chain quality records and leads root cause investigations while collaborating across departments to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with cGMP standards.

responsibilities:
- Track, manage, and complete Supply Chain Quality Records (e.g., deviations, material recalls, CAPAs) with SMEs.
- Serve as Quality Record (PR) Subject Matter Expert (SME), Level I, for the Warehouse/Supply Chain team.
- Initiate, investigate, and close minor process deviations.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and lead continuous improvement initiatives for recurring issues.
- Write technical reports clearly and concisely for a general scientific audience.
- strong knowledge of cGMP quality systems and familiarity with SOPs, logs, and Batch Records.
- Experience in laboratory settings and with root cause investigations.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processors, and TrackWise (preferred).
- Capable of managing and analyzing process deviations using trend tracking and quality systems.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide timely escalation updates and status reports without needing prompts.
- Collaborate effectively across functions, sharing knowledge openly with peers.
