Quality Engineer CMM Specialist needed for an immediate direct hire opportunity in the Philadelphia, PA area!
The right person will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve inspection challenges and improve process capability contributing to the ongoing SOP development, internal audits, and QMS improvement initiatives. This person will apply advanced GD&T interpretation and metrology techniques with exceptional accuracy as well as be the subject matter expert in Zeiss CMMs / programming and set up using Calypso software in order to perform inspections on high precision medical devices.
Must have BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years related experience as well as a deep proficiency in Zeiss Calypso programming, operating CMMs for medical devices.

responsibilities:
- Engineer Quality by developing Process Control Plans, Inspection Plans and drive risk-based inspection methodologies
- Contribute to PPAP and support Process Capability studies
- Ensure traceability and proper handling of inspected parts and records
- Use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in compliance with QMS (ISO 13485, AS9100, 21 CFR Part 820)
- Program and Setup Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections on high-precision components
- Contribute to ongoing SOP development, internal audits, and QMS improvement initiatives
- Assist with non-conformance escalations, investigations, and CAPA activities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, inspection and metrology within Medical Device
- Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso programming and operating CMMs
- Deep understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Experience with optical and vision-based systems (Keyence, OGP) and hard gauging methods
- Working knowledge of statistical methods like SPC, Cpk, and risk-based inspection techniques
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to collaborate with internal teams
