An Automation / Robotics Technician is needed for a leading manufacturing organization. This role plays a critical part in model change support, robot programming, and equipment design using advanced digital engineering tools.
The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience, with a background in manufacturing or robotics. Proficiency in MS Office and CATIA is required and DELMIA or SOLIDWORKS proficiency is a plus. This is a long-term contract role slated to last 12+ months. Our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:
- Support and lead digital factory updates using CATIA, Delmia C3, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools
- Study welding processes for feasibility and estimate robotic cycle times
- Create 3D models for welding equipment and end-of-arm tooling
- Perform offline robot programming and develop welding strategies using various data formats
- Assist with engineering efforts related to model changes
- Generate documentation to support both offline and onsite robot teaching activities
