A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a global power leader in the Seymour, IN area. This role focuses on managing spare parts strategies and MRO processes through technical analysis, sourcing, collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams, and supplier coordination to ensure efficient equipment support in manufacturing environments.

responsibilities:
- Research and understand the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Read, interpret, and create engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in cataloging spare parts, developing machine spare strategies, and indirect crib storage management.
- Identify and source materials, including cross-referencing international/domestic supply options.
- Collaborate extensively with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Indirect Materials departments.
- Serve as a liaison across teams, vendors, and management to develop and support the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) process.
- Experience with MRO storage systems is a plus.
- Exercise independent judgment with limited supervision.
- Creativity, strong analytical/problem-solving, and team collaboration.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, network file sharing, and report generation.
- Familiarity with CAD and other engineering-related applications is beneficial.
- Detail-oriented, communicative, and able to handle technical and sourcing tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or 10+ years of experience in Maintenance or Manufacturing Engineering roles.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in maintenance, machining, assembly, plant engineering, or indirect crib/material sourcing/purchasing.
