A Field Control Analyst is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Duluth, MN area. The Field Control Analyst supports cost tracking, scheduling, reporting, and invoice validation for industrial construction projects particularly in the oil and gas sector requiring strong Excel and Oracle/SAP skills, and the ability to collaborate across project teams and contractors.

responsibilities:
- Record, track, and maintain submissions related to cost, progress, and changes.
- Maintain and update earned value reports daily for major scopes of work.
- Review and record daily LEMS (Labor, Equipment, Material) for cost and man-hour data.
- Track daily project progress and report deviations from estimates.
- Perform critical analysis of project costs and budgets.
- Interface with contractors to verify rates and estimates.
- Work with inspectors to ensure accurate documentation for reporting.
- Review and validate invoices to ensure alignment with contract terms.
- Use Oracle Cloud and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure proper invoice coding and approvals.
- Compile scheduled and ad hoc reports for project stakeholders.
- Participate in project and contractor update meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, and Field Control Advisors.
- strong understanding of cost and scheduling controls in multidisciplinary projects.
- Familiarity with pipeline and terminal operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP, Power BI experience is a plus.

- University degree or equivalent training/experience in construction or operations.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; oil & gas industry experience preferred.
