A Inspector is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the El Cajon, CA area. This role involves performing electrical and dimensional inspections in a manufacturing environment, ensuring product quality through the use of specialized testing equipment, technical drawings, and adherence to quality control procedures.

responsibilities:
- Perform electrical inspections using tools like HIPOTs, insulation testers, continuity testers, multimeters, and automated electrical testing equipment.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using hand tools such as digital calipers and tape measures.
- Follow production traveler routing steps and document inspection activities.
- Identify and report issues through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including determining hidden or unstated dimensions.
- Execute first-piece inspections and approve production start.
- Sort materials, flag defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate lab and inspection equipment.
- Support quality assurance and engineering teams with inspections at various production stages.
- Document test procedures and write reports or summaries of abnormalities.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Proficient in reading blueprints, interpreting tolerances, and using trigonometry when needed.
- Familiar with production environments and maintaining quality standards under tight schedules.
- strong sense of urgency, efficiency, and attention to quality.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing procedures or environments.
- Comfortable working around machinery.
- Computer literate with ability to input inspection data accurately.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical testing and quality inspection.
- Background in manufacturing or production settings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training or vocational experience in a related technical field is preferred.
