A Human Factors Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. The Human Factors Engineer supports NASA's ML2 project by ensuring human factors and systems engineering requirements are integrated into design, verified through testing and walkdowns, and aligned with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.

responsibilities:
- Establish verification methods and acceptance criteria for requirements implementation.
- Prepare system and facility design criteria documents.
- Conduct walkdowns of hardware to verify human factors compliance.
- Review design products for compliance with Human Factors principles.
- Assess hardware and document findings against established Human Factors requirements.
- Perform requirements verification, traceability, test specification, and flowdown.
- Execute impact analyses for proposed changes in requirements.
- Participate in technical discussions to resolve system design issues.
- Research and document system operations and limits from design reviews and engineer discussions.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities, team building, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Awareness of national codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical meetings.

- Experience on construction sites.
- Familiarity with requirements implementation in design.
- Experience with impact analysis for design/requirement changes.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1472G (DoD Human Engineering standard).
- Knowledge of FAA HF-STD-001 (Human Factors Design Standard).
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or related field
- With 9+ years of technical experience or 15+ years without a degree.
