responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Directly manage a team of 40-45 engineering professionals, including environmental specialists, fabrication, parts warehouse, power, water treatment, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and shop supervisors. You'll also oversee our apprentice program.
- Performance Management: Proactively identify and address performance issues within your team, ensuring high standards of accountability and efficiency. You will be expected to manage your department independently and resolve personnel matters swiftly.
- Technical Excellence: Provide strong technical leadership in all aspects of engineering, with a particular focus on CAPEX management. You'll ensure the department delivers innovative and reliable solutions that support operational goals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is highly preferred. Other engineering disciplines will be considered, especially with significant CAPEX experience in a heavy industrial setting.
- Experience: Proven leadership experience managing a large, multi-disciplinary engineering team, ideally within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and influence stakeholders.
