A Product Development Engineer is needed for an American multinational healthcare company that primarily focuses on products to treat kidney disease, and other chronic and acute medical conditions, in the Round Lake, IL area. This job supports routine engineering and design tasks by applying technical knowledge, solving problems with guidance, documenting work, collaborating with teams, and contributing to product development and technical reviews with minimal supervision.

responsibilities:
- Perform routine engineering assignments to gain experience with company methods, techniques, and standards (SOPs, policies, projects).
- Document development work, including writing detailed specifications.
- Solve routine engineering and design tasks with some assistance and periodic supervision.
- Assist in preparing and participating in technical reviews; organize data and prepare required documentation.
- Communicate technical or project management issues effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member on engineering projects.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while making suggestions for technical improvements.
- Contribute to planning and execution of development tasks related to product revisions, enhancements, or defined portions of larger projects.
- Use appropriate engineering methods and techniques to complete assignments within deadlines based on general instructions.
- Apply working knowledge of basic technical theories and principles to routine engineering tasks.
- Assess feasibility of simple research and design concepts within assigned area of expertise.
