We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Opto?Mechanical) to collaborate on the design, analysis, and testing of high?performance imaging and laser systems. The role involves 3D modeling of opto?mechanical components, applying ANSI/ASME geometric tolerancing, mechanical testing, support for optical alignment, and cross?discipline collaboration across multiple locations. You'll be responsible for mechanical specifications tied to electro?optical systems and ensuring robust design performance under varied environmental conditions.

responsibilities:
- Design opto?mechanical parts, mechanisms, and assemblies using SolidWorks with full ANSI/ASME Y14.5M geometric tolerancing
- Support alignment of optical components and subsystems and participate in mechanical specifications planning for electro?optical systems
- Conduct testing on opto?mechanical mechanisms and optical systems, including structural, thermal, and vibration assessments
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams across multiple sites to integrate mechanical and optical system requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 7 years of experience in opto-mechanical design, testing, or analysis
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD experience with FEA tools ( ANSYS Workbench) preferred
- Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), experience with MIL-STD?810 and sealed (IP?rated) systems is a plus
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environments with excellent verbal and written communication skills
