A Contract Conformance Specialist is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. The Contract Conformance Specialist manages all contractual compliance activities for capital and maintenance projects by facilitating documentation, communication, negotiation support, and issue resolution to ensure project and contractor obligations are fully met.

responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with Project Execution contracting strategy.
- Help develop contract exhibits (scope, specifications, pricing, special instructions).
- Assist in drafting technical contract language.
- Coordinate with Contract Management to integrate contractor clarifications and project-specific requirements.
- Support contract negotiations during bidding and formation phases.
- Develop and support implementation of project communication plans.
- Review contractor documents for conformance, issue non-compliance notices as needed.
- Prepare and transmit official correspondence with project team approval.
- Manage and track the Change Order process, including logs, directives, and approvals.
- Prepare agendas, attend, and document all contract-related meetings.
- Establish and maintain project document control and retention systems.
- Review and route contractor invoices for approval, monitor payment status.
- Clear, concise, and organized communicator.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
- Able to build collaborative cross-functional relationships.
- Familiar with best practices in contracting and negotiation.
- Self-directed with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Skilled in technical writing and problem-solving.
- strong analytical skills to anticipate and prevent contractual issues.
- Bachelor's in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business discipline + 4 years' related experience or
- Associate's degree + 7-10 years' related experience.
