An Electrical Commissioning Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the commissioning of electrical systems in a complex industrial facility, ensuring testing, safety, and turnover activities meet project standards and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:
- Manage electrical commissioning for assigned systems through startup and turnover.
- Coordinate across mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems teams.
- Analyze activities for scope, resources, and schedule planning.
- Build and prepare test packages using design/vendor documents.
- Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams for testing.
- Prepare system test documentation and coordinate system turnover.
- Support walkdowns, manage punch lists, and collaborate with engineering/field teams.
- Understand and apply design specifications, standards, and codes.
- Perform/monitor tests for compliance and specification alignment.
- Conduct hazard assessments (JHA/FLHA) and lead safe field practices.
- strong knowledge of low/medium voltage systems and commissioning.
- Understanding of startup, maintenance, operations, and regulatory standards.
- Experience with I&C testing is advantageous.
- Proficient in subcontractor management and LOTO processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft 365 and technical writing.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, math, or hard science.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, including low/medium voltage systems.
- Supervisory experience of craft workers in commissioning/maintenance activities.
- Experience calibrating protective relays is a plus.
