A Instrumentation Technician is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, in the Vacaville, CA area. The role supports the maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) systems in a GMP manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability, compliance, and data integrity while collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.

responsibilities:
- Ensure assigned PAT systems on the manufacturing floor are fit for purpose and ready for use.
- Perform routine maintenance and document activities in SAP.
- Troubleshoot and investigate unplanned equipment-related events.
- Communicate with vendors and escort them on site for issue resolution.
- Drive reliability improvements and implement planned equipment changes.
- Support deployment of new PAT systems while maintaining existing systems.
- Spend approximately 75% of time gowned in GMP manufacturing space.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Analytical Science (required).
- Experience with analytical systems, especially in GMP manufacturing or QC lab settings.
- Familiarity with data integrity principles.
- strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- General understanding of biotech-related analytical methods.
- Skilled in data analysis, instrument troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Capable of strategic thinking and converting strategies into action plans.
- Proven decision-making skills, especially in resource allocation and scheduling.
- Demonstrates accountability, results orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Work involves chemical compounds (e.g., acids, bases, toxins).
- Frequent use of a wide variety of instruments and process devices.
- Responsible for repairing, calibrating, and replacing instruments.
