A Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Greensboro, NC. The Production Engineer will support the specification, procurement, validation, and installation of equipment for manufacturing lines within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will play a critical part in launching new equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and production readiness.
The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and a deep understanding of electrical controls, along with the ability to read and modify technical drawings. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a minimum of 8+ years of equivalent technical experience is required, with a proven track record in capital project execution and production preparation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and project scheduling tools is essential. This role also requires flexibility to support occasional weekend work and plant shutdown periods, including July and December holidays.
This is a long-term contract role, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

- Support machine spec development, procurement, and installation for production lines
- Oversee pre-production trials and validate equipment safety, quality, and uptime
- Interpret and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings to support project execution
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with safety, quality, and production engineering teams
- Lead or support equipment installation and troubleshooting efforts on-site
- Support capital project execution from planning through start of production
